 Food Inc. is a very important movie.  It lifts the veil on America’s food industry, exposing how the food supply is controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment.  Food Inc. reveals surprising and often shocking truths about what we eat, how it’s produced, and what we are fast becoming as a nation.  If you think this isn’t happening in Australia, or in fact globally……. then think again!

 And just in case you’re interested in the luncheon offerings…..

As always the detail of the final menu will depend on what is fresh and local on the day – but a likely spread might include:

• Fresh sourdough, olive oil, dukkah and olives
• Slow-roasted standing rib of beef served with horseradish bread pudding
• Wide variety of roasted winter vegetables
• Classic French-style brisket
• Indonesian Black Beef and coconut biryani rice
• Maybe even a pot of soup?
• Roasted apples and pears from Arding with fresh Peel Valley cream
• Home-made cakes and slices from our local farmer’s markets
• …..oh, and the bar will be stocked with local wines for your pleasure….

Grass-fed beef will be supplied by Lesley and Col, who will be there on the day to talk with us about their farming techniques.
